'No matter what the odds are, never ever bet against her'

— Mark Takai,

UNITEd states house of representatives

Florida has a far reaching, and previously unnoticed, paradoxical problem — causing $1B loss of investment —  annually.

Compelled by her discovery, April self-funded the creation of American Initiative for Film Industry (AIFI) — evidenced the paradoxical problem, with documented research — and crafted a common sense, fiscally responsible blueprint solve the problem.

Controversial in approach, April’s proposal is a game changer. And April will prove it!

AiFi’s plan, (assuming stringent enforcement) will solve the problem, deliver ROI and unparrelled benefits, to Florida — with NO fiscal risk.

NEW full-time jobs, averaging 74% more than the state median, will replace FL’s $1B paradoxical investment — and corresponding loss.

Every time a FL resident receives a state grant, financial aide or subsidy, to pay for a film industry related course, at one of FL’s  97 state colleges — in pursuit of film industry career — due to the current scaricity of related jobs —  from a, strictly fiscal investment perspective, some might consider such an investment (at worst) irresponsible, (at best) at risk.

The solution is simple. But, unorthodox and requires vision, beyond political   afflilation.

April’s proposes legislation crafted, for exclusive use by  major networks, studios, and streaming giants (Netflix, Paramount, ABC, Univision are examples) scripted series and TBD budget film, out of state productions.

Why bring film back to florida?

SHE IS PERSPECTIVE AND SOLUTION FOCUSED

From over three decades in Film and TV, April was too aware that an absent Film Industry in Florida was causing a massive loss of opportunities—from departing local talent to untapped GDP and higher paying jobs.

To bring awareness and change to this issue, she created and self-funded the American Initiative for Film Industry (AiFi)—whose 5 Acts, backed by research, detail the “how” of resurrecting the state film industry.

Her Checkoff BOX for fallen veterans gets introduced to the White house

April’s idea for “The Military Check-off Box for Vets”—an optional check-off box on all federal tax returns for donations to fallen and wounded veterans and their families—was simple, yet potentially greatly impactful.

After receiving first-of-its-kind public support for it, April self-funded a lobbying campaign that involved drafting of legislation that was sponsored by senators—and introduced to the Whitehouse in 2019.
